PRIME MINISTER’S EMPLOYMENT GENERATION PROGRAMME

1. ELIGIBILITY Individuals (above 18 years of age), Self Help Groups, Institutions registered under Societies Registration Act, Production Cooperative Societies, and Charitable Trusts.
2. PURPOSE Credit linked subsidy scheme aimed at generating employment opportunities in rural and urban areas by establishing micro-enterprises under non-farm sector as well as under the category of Animal Husbandry activities.
3. EXTENT OF LIMIT/ LOAN Need – based loan
4. SUBSIDY Capital subsidy maximum up to 35% of the Project cost.
5. MARGIN 5-10%
6. SECURITY
  • Primary – Hypothecation of assets created out of Bank loan.
  • Collateral – As per Bank’s extant guidelines.
  • Coverage under CGTMSE also available.
7. RATE OF INTEREST* Starting from 8.00% p.a. (linked to Repo Rate, subject to change from time to time)
